Dunoon
Heading northward on the A82 from Loch Lomondside, follow directions via A83 for Arrochar and the Rest And Be Thankful. Having scaled The Rest And Be Thankful, look for a left turn along the A815 (just before reaching Cairndow) signposted to Dunoon and the Cowal Peninsula along the shores of Loch Eck. Alternatively, take the A886 at lovely Strachur on the shores of Loch Fyne for the Colintraive Ferry to Rothesay, on the Isle of Bute.
